Community
at the heart of the
business
Our mission is to support and
inspire people within our community
Tooting Works' Community Projects
is the start of our wider community outreach programme to support and engage local
residents and community groups.
Tooting Community Projects was originally established as a COVID-19 response, through providing hot meals and care parcels to residents who had been negatively impacted by the effects of COVID-19.
We have now expanded the effects and meaning behind Tooting Works’ Community Projects. Tooting Works’ Community Projects is beyond the original project and entails all the community efforts Tooting Works undertakes.
Our aim is to promote community cohesion, wellbeing and to address the root causes of poverty. Powered by and located within Tooting Works, giving back to the community is a value we hold true.
Our team are currently working on various new initiatives to grow the project and we would love to hear from you!
Our Projects and Activities
Community Space
Giving back to the community is something we take seriously. Tooting Works allows community groups /organisations to utilise free office space once it becomes available.
Job Vacancies
We list our business communities, charity and our own job roles on the Tooting Works website to help promote vacancies in the local Tooting community.
Our Business Community
Tooting Works is home to over 80 different businesses from the NHS to pest control. Support local businesses in Tooting by checking out our business communities products and services.
Hygiene Bank
Within the centre we are collecting hygiene products in collaboration with The Hygiene Bank. We collect the donated hygiene products like toothpaste, soap, period products and The Hygiene Bank collects and disturbs them to local frontline organisations like Women’s Refuge, Baby Bank’s, and organisations supporting the homeless.
COVID-19 Response
In response to COVID-19 Tooting Works began to serve and deliver hot meals and care packages to those negatively impacted by the effects of COVID-19, in the borough of Wandsworth.
Ecofleet
We partnered with The Tooting cargo bike scheme to deliver our care packages. The scheme was part of the Clean Air Villages project funded by DEFRA and Wandsworth Council, with Cross River Partnership leading and managing the project. Ecofleet were the chosen cargo bike courier for this scheme and are a local business in Wandsworth borough.

Partners
Together Everyone Achieves More
Tooting Works’ Community Projects collaborates with like-minded organisations and individuals to offer continued support to our community.
We aim to maximise our impact through joint-delivery with local organisations who are rooted in their community and we spend time co-designing our services and share a common approach to impact measurement.
Please get in touch if you would like to collaborate or find out more about what we do.
Volunteers
We rely on our volunteers!
Our volunteers are instrumental to the work that we do. We couldn’t have such a positive impact on our community without a team of committed and compassionate people.
We are always looking for new people to help us run our community services. Previous roles included packing, preparing and delivering food parcels. There will be a wider range of help needed next year.
